Our human finite minds cannot possibly comprehend the power and might of God Almighty. The way most of us generally share the Gospel of the Kingdom and message of Christ as Lord and King tells me we have reduced our Omnipotent Creator to something small enough for our finite minds to think we understand. Yes, He was the sacrifice for our sins. Yes, He died to restore us to a right relationship to Him. But He is so much greater...so much more...so much higher than we can think or imagine...
26 - Lift up your eyes on high, And see who has created these things, Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, by the greatness of His might and the strength of His power; not one is missing.
How can we so minimize a God who has created all things? Who controls the rising of the sun and the going down of the sun...who is a Great God? We [as the body of Christ] have watered down the gospel message to a point that we don't teach His righteousness, His greatness, His Omnipotent Power. We only teach His saving grace and love....we omit His power...His character as a Great God and Righteous King.
There is a song by a Christian artist named Carman that says it so much better than I can. Click here for the official video. But the chorus goes like this:
He's a Great God, a Righteous King, Ruler over everything. He's a Great God and we will proclaim Honor and Glory to His Name!
We can easily forget He is the Ruler of everything. Every decision we make should be based on our knowledge of the word of God and His character and majesty. He is the King of Kings and Lord and Lords. There is no one above Him, there is no one before Him. He Was, He is, He always will be. He does not change. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Yes, He is a God love, grace, and mercy. We have done nothing to earn His love and we can do nothing to lose His love for us. He loves us unconditionally. HOWEVER, that is not all there is to Our Heavenly Father and Righteous King. What are we doing to PROCLAIM honor and glory to His name?
21 - far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come.
22 - And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,
23 - which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
His name is above every name! Far above ALL principalities, powers, dominions, and every other name unnamed! For all eternity! He is head over all things to the church. He fills everything. He is all in all. The Name above all names is due all glory and praise. He is worthy of more than just telling people He died and rose again. He is worthy of more than spreading His grace and love. He is worthy of everything we have to give. He is worthy of our PROCLAMATION of His glory and honor!
Remember the old tune "Go Tell It On the Mountain"? It goes a little something like this:
Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere! Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is Lord!
So, today, go and tell everyone everywhere Jesus Christ is Lord! Proclaim to the heavenlies that Jesus Christ is Lord!
